Sunday Afternoon Clay Class - 2026
with Jane Burgess
This class is perfect for beginning to intermediate students. We'll start with the basics of wheel throwing from centering, opening, and shaping of a pot. We'll focus on understanding the basics of making the foundational shape of cylinders first. Once you have achieved those, the world of clay opens up for you!
Students will work at their own pace and level, to learn the skills of the life cycle of a pot from wedging clay, trimming, glazing and finishing. We'll help you at your own level of skill, with group or individual demonstrations as needed. We want to encourage learning, experimenting and improving your technique.
